The Russian national team in the first round of the group stage of 2019 European World Cup qualifying in Moscow defeated the German team with a score of 6:2.
Russian goalkeeper Maxim Chuzhkov scored the first goal of the team in the home tournament. Later in the game Boris Nikonorov scored a hat-trick and helped Russia to get a confident start in Luzhniki. Germany scored twice but that was not enough. Russia will play Estonia tomorrow, Germany will face Hungary.
